  • 2024-2 Release: UNLOCODE Release 2024-2
    IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

We regret to inform you that the publication of the UN/LOCODE 2024-2 Directory was delayed due to
technical challenges. These include issues with the aging UN/LOCODE MS Access-based subsystem, which
requires extensive manual editing to address errors, and the unavailability of the UNECE Bamboo platform,
which has disrupted the automated upload and publication process. While we are actively addressing these
challenges to ensure the directory is published as soon as possible, this situation underscores the urgent need to
modernize and enhance the UN/LOCODE system. To support these necessary upgrades and improvements, we
encourage fundraising efforts as outlined in the UN/LOCODE Project Proposal. Your contributions and
advocacy will be instrumental in ensuring the sustainability and efficiency of the UN/LOCODE.

    1. The UNECE secretariat has the pleasure to introduce herewith UN/LOCODE 2024-2.
