FR / Verisav / Align DPP with EU ESPR and repair ecosystems
A number of suggestions for the Digital Product Passport specification chapter:
- Repair, reuse, and after-sales interoperability: Explicit normative hooks (or extension guidance) for post-sale events: repair, warranty status, service tickets, and spare parts — not only upstream supply-chain traceability. This aligns with ESPR circularity goals and JRC DPP methodology tiers.
- Dual-stack interoperability: A short mapping table or appendix linking UNTP DPP credential types to ESPR delegated-act information requirements (batteries 2027, textiles, construction products, etc.) and to common carrier standards (GS1 Digital Link URI, JSON-LD @context patterns).

issuingSoftwareblock — implementer registry: Clarify in the DPP spec thatissuingSoftwareis required for SWI-observed credentials, and document minimal JSON shape cross-references to register-schema.json so vendors (e.g. did:web) can implement once. - Semantic vocabulary references: Encourage published RDF/OWL vocabularies (e.g. LOV-registered) as optional but recommended @context extensions for conformity claims and product classification, without mandating a single platform.
- SecureLink / resolver discovery: Harmonise examples with GS1 Digital Link resolver practice already deployed in EU retail, to reduce duplicate QR/link mechanisms for SMEs.
