Reducing acronyms and dropping a superflous "digital"
The Conformity group has strong opinions about avoiding acronyms and dropping superflous workds. Hence the change for that group from "DCC" (Short for Digital Conformity Credential") to just "Conformity Credential". Avoiding any acronyms but if absolutely essential (eg technical namespace prefix or when there's really limited space on a diagram) then just "CC". This brings up the question of whether we should also change
- "DPP" -> "Product Passport" (or "PP" Sparingly)
- "DFR" -> "Facility Record" (or "FR" Sparingly)
- "DTE" -> "Traceability Event" (or "TE" Sparingly)
- "DIA" -> "Identity Anchor" (or "IA" Sparingly)
- "IDR" -> Identity Resolver" (or "IR" Sparingly)
- "CVC" -> "Conformity Vocabulary" (or "CV" Sparingly)
