Better ordering of documents
Way back when we identified a number of documents that we thought would be necessary to describe the GRID and the proposed use of the DIA and how pilots might run. We numbered the documents as the appeared around in the annotated logical model.
Since then we've simplified and consolidated some documents, and introduced others (such as the economic argument documents).
I think we need to review the order in which these documents present themselves and ensure that they are presented in a logical order.
The source markdown documents are here: https://opensource.unicc.org/un/unece/uncefact/gtr/-/tree/main/docs/Documents?
When the website build process runs, they are presented in an order that is driven by an alpha-numeric sort of the markdown filename (not their title, that is set separately). Thus we currently get this effect:
- Economic Argument
- Qualities of Captured Registrar Data
- Digital Identity Anchor - Legal Meaning and Data Structure
- Legal Governance and Target Operating Model for the Global Registrar Information Directory (GRID)
- Economic Argument Supporting Research
- Expression of Project Requirements
- Glossary of abbreviations and terms
- Archived Documents [folder]
- Technical Reference - GRID & DIA
- Annex - Hypothetical ROI Model for National Participation
Tow proposed changes:
Change 1: Document re-order
I think we need to switch documents 2 and 4 as they are presented in this list, and move the "Archive Documents" folder to the end of the list. I propose the following ordering:
- Economic Argument
- Legal Governance and Target Operating Model for the Global Registrar Information Directory (GRID)
- Digital Identity Anchor - Legal Meaning and Data Structure
- Qualities of Captured Registrar Data
- Economic Argument Supporting Research
- Expression of Project Requirements
- Glossary of abbreviations and terms
- Technical Reference - GRID & DIA
- Annex - Hypothetical ROI Model for National Participation
- Archived Documents [folder]
Change 2: Document assimilation
I suggest moving the contents of "Expression of Project Requirements" into the Glossary of abbreviations and Terms.
